KUMHO - Izen Stud
The Kumho I'ZEN Stud KW-11 studdable winter tires are designed to balance dry and wet road capabilities with snow and ice traction. This makes them a good all-around choice at an affordable price where snowfall is typically light or infrequent.
On the outside, the I'ZEN Stud KW-11 features a silica-enhanced tread compound molded into a deep, laterally-siped tread design that has each shoulder pinned to accept four rows of studs in a "random" pattern to enhance ice traction when studded. Two wide circumferential grooves help evacuate water and slush to minimize the risk of hydroplaning.
On the inside, the I'ZEN Stud KW-11 features twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced by nylon to enhance durability and protect the belt package and eliminate damage from the studs. An optimized bead design enhances handling and durability.
